»The people around me think differently about every day life after the economic collapse in Iceland. People are starting to be more open to the arts and culture and they are less focused on business.
One can also see this in the way young people choose their university subjects now. On the contrary to the current government, I find the people became more helpful to people around them.
I'm half French, so I want to travel and find my father in France. It's not about fleeing the circumstances in Iceland, it's more about having a good time. And I want to see more, because we started to realise, that we are kind of isolated on this little island.«
— Ari, 23 years old, studies philosophy and jazz guitar and works as social councilor
