Gihan, 12 years old

»I have been in the camp for four month now, with my four sisters, three brothers and my parents.
I come from the Sinjar mountains and when we noticed shots, we ran away from home.
Now, I have no more school, but I had lessons in mathematics and reading in the past. Reading was my favourite subject.
During the day I help my mother and do the dishes.
I also have friends here, I play with them or we talk about our home Sinjar.
I'm missing my old school and I see it in my dreams.
I hope that we can go back again.«
