Casir, teacher

»I'm a refugee. Each day - except Friday - I'm working for four hours as a teacher. I give lessons in English, science and social studies.
My monthly income is 400,000 Iraq. Dinar (about USD 335).
We try to achieve an athmosphere in our school lessons, where the children forget the past and what has happened so that they can start a new life.
For those who have died, we can not do anything anymore and we must try to continue. Life goes on, even if you have lost people.
I am delighted in influencing the children's behaviour in a positive way hence they can better deal with each other.
I lack psychological specialists at the school in the camp. In my opinion, the most important thing is to help those who are poor and have lost everything.
There should be also a place where children can really relax and forget the past.
When the children hear the word Daesh, they get scared and some start crying. Then, I tell them that the war is over for them and that they should learn professions and not emigrate to Europe.
They should try to build up something here again.
We need to take care of the children very well and support them with the things they need.
My work makes me happy.«
