EUR-quarter colosseo quadrato
EUR-quarter of Rome with the Colosseo Quadrato in the center.

While many pavilions in today's world exhibitions are only built for the moment, Benito Mussolini and his team planned their buildings a little more long-term for their Expo in 1942.
Even today, one can see the architectural buildings of that period in the EUR district in Rome.
And because Italy's handling of its history is much more relaxed as for example in Germany, it is no surprise that the most prominent building of Mussolini's era, the Colosseo Quadrato, is going to be used as the future headquarters of the big fashion label Fendi.
