»I don't have any siblings and I have been living with my parents and my grandmother in Kyiv for a year now.
Before we lived in Luhansk, where I noticed a lot of the war. For instance, I was eating ice cream with a friend in Luhansk, when suddenly a plane appeared and dropped bombs. We ran home quickly and when we came out again later, we discovered the plane in the station area, where it had been shot down. This scared us and everything happened so fast.
Or I was just in the dacha of my grandmother as my other grandmother, who lives in a high-rise building, saw someone on the balcony of a neighboring skyscraper who was shooting from there. Then a car arrived, the guy ran off the balcony and from the car someone was firing at the house until it was destroyed. My grandmother was very afraid that something could happen to her house too and she ran out of the house and came to our dacha by taxi.
Then my parents decided to take me away, but first my father hesitated because it was dangerous.
Finally, we took the train, but then the bombing started during the trip. My grandmother was leaning over me even as missiles were fired at the train, we fled from the train and did lie down on the ground under some trees. There was a massive bombardment, but somehow my grandmother and I could still ride on with the train and we arrived at my mother's home in Starobielsk.
There we stayed for three months and then we went by bus to Kyiv. I took clothes, toys, my phone and my headphones from Luhansk.
Now I go to school again and everything is fine. I have Ukrainian lessons and it's a bit difficult to learn everything in Ukrainian. In addition I'm dancing and I like to sing and have already danced HipHop on stage. When we are eleven years old, I would like to dance with my friends HipHop on the street.
I have contact with my old friends in Luhansk via Skype. I'm not really afraid, rather I'm sad that my tomcat had to stay in Luhansk. Now my tomcat is alone, hence he is a street cat and perhaps he is no longer alive. I have not seen him for a year. I miss my dog Ducia. I have had two dogs and three cats, but it was impossible to take them with me.
My wish is that all my relatives come here. I like to go for a walk with my girlfriend in the evening and at night and to arrive at midnight back home.
In the future I want to work in the army perhaps as my mother, who worked for the Ukranian secret service. But my father did not want that my mother continued to work there and now she helps him with his job in the advertising industry.«
