»I came in contact with Yellow Bus for the first time in Baku at a film festival. Jaroslav Pilunsky, the founder of Yellow Bus, met us in Baku. He picked us up at the airport and he got us the tickets for the festival in Baku, too.<< >>
I learned from Yellow Bus that the final result always depends on the whole team. If the team is friendly, if there is no quarrel and they work together in a proper way, then the result is good too. And if there is a lot of conflict in the team, then the result won't be good. In addition, I have learned that the result also depends on how much you have dealt with the topic and if you like the topic. If someone has forced you to work, then you won't see a good result.
I was evacuated to Berdyansk with my mother when the war started in Mykolaivka, so I did not notice anything directly from the war.
I also discovered false reports about the war on social networks, most often on Youtube. There was wrong information and I responded with my own comments. I wrote that the message was not true and many people believed my comment too. But there were others who claimed that I was lying and the message was correct.
I think it always depends on the individual, whether one understands or comprehends this war. Some people may understand this war by words, others by images, and still others must have experienced this war for themselves to understand war.
I prefer to work with video fragments in the media sector because I like working as a cameraman. And for me this is more understandable than for example to work with sounds.
I have no friends anymore in the occupied territories. I only had one friend there, but he moved to Mykolaivka. He told me how terrible it is to live there and that you constantly hear the shootings. There is no peace there.
One consequence of the war is that many tourist areas are closed. And you can't roam freely in the woods around our city, because there can still be mines.«
