Anna, 16 years old, lives in Mykolaivka
»I came in contact with Yellow Bus in 2014, when they came to our city together with the organization New Donbass and they helped us to rebuild our school. At that time, we realized projects together and made films. And we went to a summer camp with Yellow Bus, where I learned even more about film, for example how to shoot a movie. I also made a film about my uncle who was in the war zone and how my cousin was waiting for him there.<< >>
I was here in the village when the war reached Mykolaivka.
I think that outsiders can not understand what war really means, because they did not feel it themselves and they did not experience the feeling of insecurity about the future, if you will still be alive or not.
I have a friend in Donetsk, we talk to each other and I ask him if it is quiet there. He told me that now it is quiet again.
First and foremost, I associate certain sounds with the war where I took my little brother and quickly took shelter. At that time, I was only eleven years old.
Sometimes the war appears in my dreams and then I hear the shootings and imagine how we run back into the cellar.
After the war in Mykolaivka was over, I dealt with film and made my own films. I also traveled more and our city starts to flourish again.«
