Crime scene in the Trion Ierarxon Street, Athens

Shezad Luqman from Pakistan lived for six years in Athens and recently he shared a room with three other Pakistanis.
He came from a poor family and sent the money he earned to his brothers and sisters in Pakistan. First, he worked as a guard at a construction site and after it closed, he found work at a farmer's market.
He had a pink card (work permit for immigrants) for this job. Several times he told a friend that he would never be able to start a family and live a human life.
Early in the morning, on January 17, 2013, Shehzad Luqman cycles to the house of his employer in the district of Petralona to load the truck for the farmer's market. He is stopped by two Greeks (25 and 29 years old) on a scooter in the Trion Ierarxon Street.
Residents hear a cry for help and a scooter driving away quickly. Shezad Luqman dies on the spot, he was fatally injured from multiple stab wounds in the chest.
A taxi driver near the crime scene gives valuable information to the police and a short time later the suspects are arrested, one still carrying the bloody knife. During a house search the police find leaflets of the neo-Nazi party Chrysi Avgi.
Early in 2014 the two men (a firefighter and an employee) are imprisoned for life. According to the opinion of the court, the connection with the extreme right-wing party Chrysi Avgi was of no significance.
Shezad Luqman, who had come to Europe hoping for a better future six years ago, only lived until he was 27 years old.
