»I still have eight sisters and two brothers. My parents live with me.<< >>
We used to live in the village of Xarbate Qawala and for five years we have been in the camp on the Sinjar mountains.
We fled from our village into the mountains and climbed through the mountain rocks to the camp.
It makes me very sad that our people have been kidnapped by Daesh.
I have school lessons in the camp. My subjects are English, Arabic, Kurdish and Maths. After school, I play with my friends and I talk to them about school.
It makes me angry when people have to flee or are attacked. I don't forget the terrible things that I experienced. I can not forget these things because they keep popping up in my head.
I'm happy if nothing bad happens to me and if I am with my siblings.
Only Daesh scares me and Daesh occurs in many of my dreams.
My family took only a bottle of water – nothing else, when we escaped from our village. I wish that I'm always happy and don't have any more bad experiences.
I would like to become a doctor in future.
Thank you for coming here and you can always come back.«
