english deutsch KILIAN FOERSTER
Renas, 14 years old, lives in a refugee camp in the Sinjar mountain, (please look also here)
»When school is over, there is nothing left for me here. I ride my bike or we play football.<< >>
We used to have sheep, but they were taken away. And we also had pomegranate trees, but they were burnt down. The sheep and the pomegranate trees are the only things that I remember from my old home.
School is the best thing for me because there is nothing else for me here. We learn something at school and become adults there.
I don't want to go back to my old home.
There is no danger here and I am not afraid of anything. I am only afraid that we will be attacked by Daesh again.
So far we have not received any new clothes here and our tents have not been repaired either. I am most happy when I can learn something in the camp's school.«
