Haytham, 17 years old, lives in a refugee camp in the Sinjar mountain, (please look also here)

»I miss my friends at school the most. When school is over, there are no more opportunities for me to learn anything here.
I can't remember my past well but I remember when we arrived here and having nothing to eat. Some also died of hunger and thirst during the flight.
The best thing here is the school and there is nothing to replace it. My life in the camp is the same as the last time we saw each other, there have been no big changes.
I would like to go back to my old home. But returning home could be dangerous for us if there are still undiscovered mines in our old place. One danger here in the camp is that fire breaks out in the tents or that the electricity suddenly fails. There can also be a short circuit at night, for example, and the tents can catch fire. Basically, there is nothing I am afraid to talk about. But some things I keep as a secret only to myself and don't share it with other people.
My biggest problem is my long way to school, which I always walk and it would be nice if there was a bus to take us to school. There is nothing for me that gives me any special joy.«
